use bitcoin ATMs and even those require a cell phone typically which is linked
to you. And you’ll pay a premium. You can also buy Monero (XMR) with cash at
localmonero.co
Monero is truly private, like digital cash. No one knows you have it and when
you transact in it no one but you and the seller knows anything about the
transaction.
you can always buy bitcoin through an exchange and then trade into Monero.
The only major exchange that trades XMR is Kraken. You can buy or trade it
there, send to a soft wallet address then to a hard wallet, currently only
Ledger Nano works with that. Coin control is very important if you value
privacy.
I’ll typically buy monero this way….
-transfer funds to coinbase pro
-buy BTC on coinbase pro
-send btc to kraken (or trade ogre which is non-kyc)
-trade into XMR monero
-send monero to cake wallet (soft wallet app)
-send monero to my monero GUI wallet / Ledger
i’ll keep monero i want to spend on cake wallet and monero i want to
invest/save long-term on hard wallet.
