What language do you speak?
You type very well in English.

Hi!
The main trouble is that Siri is language dependent.
I use my phone in my language which, of course, Siri is not supporting. When I want it to perform some task like setting the alarm it works, but when I want to call or text someone it's getting very unconvinient. In previous versions, I believe prior to 6.1.2 I was able to tell Siri to call someone by pronouncing the persons name as I would in my language. Now I need to pronounce the name as the native English speaker would do and that's a tongue gymnastics in my language xD. If someone is not native English speaker I'd rather recommend Dragon Dictation which really surprised me with its precision of captioning spoken text. Not sure if the Googles voice recognition app could be installed on IOS but from what I tested by using Youtube Voice Search it also works great.

I have not found this to be true -- for calling someone it works fine, but I can't give it two sentences of text without an error or several and by the time I have to correct the errors, I may as well type the
text.

It is usually reliable, but remember it is server-based. Your device listens to you, sends the audio to Apple's servers, and then gets the text of the audio back (parsing audio locally would be very resource-intensive and would likely be slower than even the cloud-based method in use now). Siri can do a lot and generally gets things right, but it is not perfect. Still, for setting an appointment or reminder, sending a text, calling someone, looking for businesses, doing a web search, launching an app, and so on, it works well and is quite a time-saver. The next version of iOS, due out in a few weeks, will increase Siri's functionality to system tasks, so you can tell it to turn on Voiceover or turn off bluetooth, among other new commands. The iPhone 4S and newer has Siri, as does the iPad 4 or newer, the iPad Mini, and the iPod Touch 5 or newer. On Sep 4, 2013, at 11:03 PM, Beto Arreola <beto.arreola22@xxxxxxxxx> wrote:

Hi, it is quite reliable, but it all depends on what type of service you are expecting from it. On Sep 4, 2013, at 8:59 PM, Nikki Dadlani <nikkidadlani@xxxxxxxxx> wrote:

Dear IOS Users,
I do not own an IOS device. I wanted to ask about Sirie's reliability with Iphones, Ipads, and Ipods (I don't even know if they have it on ipods.) I wanted to know the reliability. Also, I have heard that there is Sirie in other languages. What's the reliability on that?
Thank you so much.
