Braillepad involved tapping each dot in turn, type-in-braille each row in turn, but it was good as a starter as you could type without listening; good when trying to do a critical text on a noisy train. Brailletouch took over so you could type real braille, though the editing features used VO gestures which didn't get through, or demanded a pass through which defeated the object. So now we have mBraille, which is the best so far and still developing. Harri listens to user feedback, though he is also quite inventive with some of the inovations. As each new one comes along, the predecessors fall off the end; though I still have the last version of Brailletouch on my oldest 4S; there's two here somewhere. Mrs has two more; and both iPad Minis; I reckon we're fruity tech-nuts too. We didn't start with Acorn, though nearly got a BBC labelled thinghy, hwich was made by them. We used Apricot machines at Uni, and we've never had a Blackberry yet. The Rasberry has gone very quiet though. Braille Touch or MBraille? TypeInBraille did exist, but it made you type one row at a time, which was often slower than the on-screen keyboard. I never used Braille Pad and never heard much about it. But yes, both of those apps did exist first. On Sep 29, 2013, at 2:51 PM, jessica brown <justforlistmessages531@xxxxxxxxx> wrote: > What about typeinbraille and braillepad.
