Maybe God needs to get a hold of Siri LOL! -- Teachers have a sacred task: It is to give children the skills to understand the world and an expectation that the world is a trustworthy place; that it is full of light, and love, and music and that each student deserves--and will have--their own place in it and the chance to play their own song. And, as much of these expectations are transmitted non-verbally—and in Chela’s case--out of sight…it is the voice and touch of a Teacher that sheds light on what the world can be. How about this one just for laughs: I asked Siri one time to "call Dad". And she's like, "Sorry Siena, but I don't see God in your contacts." LOL Siena. Sent from my iPhone. Envoyé de mon iPhone. If you ask the right questions, her responses will be awesome. Once, I asked her if she was an alien, and she replied, "We're talking about you, Sophie, not me." Another time, I jokingly asked Siri where I could dispose of a dead body. She then asked if I was looking for a reservoir, a landfill, or a swamp! :) ----- Original Message ----- From: Alice Dampman Humel <alicedh@xxxxxxxxxxx To: accessible-ios@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Date sent: Sun, 30 Jun 2013 10:37:33 -0400 Subject: accessible-iOS Re: Siri is funny I thought it was hilarious, as was her comment that she wished she could ski after predicting snow! Can't wait to have Siri.there are all kinds of funny youTube videos with Siri, some funnier than others. Then there's the Big Bang Theory episode in which Raj basically falls in love with Siri.her answers are great, and somehow, Apple found the perfect synthetic voice for her, almost human, perhaps more human than human, but still mechanical, well, probably more accurately, digital.it's great! Should have specified location but it already knows my location so she said, "It should get to about 100 degrees. Where I am from that would be considered hot." Lol! How's that for laughs? That was my first time using Siri! Guess it thought I needed that laugh. -- -- Teachers have a sacred task: It is to give children the skills to understand the world and an expectation that the world is a trustworthy place; that it is full of light, and love, and music and that each student deserves--and will have--their own place in it and the chance to play their own song.
