Specifically, the update will bring turn-by-turn walking directions to the default Maps app, plus let those with OS10.9 on a Mac find a destination and create a route on their Mac and then push it to their phones. So, instead of doing everything on your phone, you could just do all the typing and everything on the Mac, then send the route over. Also, Siri can create routes, and I imagine it will support walking directions. I am not saying that Sendero's offering is bad, I'm just saying, if you can stand the wait, don't buy anything yet. See what iOS7 brings to the table and if, after using it, you still need Sendero's app at all. Personally, I want an app that tells me when to turn; having POIs and cross streets is certainly nice, but the important thing for me is where to go. If iOS7's Maps app can do that, then I will not spend money on an app that only offers a bit more. Again, I am not at all putting Sendero down (I even helped to beta the app); I think what they have is a great start, and could well expand into a feature-rich offering that gives users way more than Maps (replays, route recording for unmapped areas, custom POIs, and more). For now, though, I'm going to wait and see if the Maps update does what I need, and I encourage anyone else on the fence about Sendero's app to do the same.
