Hi Cindy,

I'm not sure where you got that you can not have notifications for events
ahead of time with the native Calendar app. I have an iPhone 5 running IOS
7.0.3 and I just added an event next month. It is all the same stuff,
title, location, start time, end time, repeat, invite, alert, second
alert. My calendar events remind me either 1 day before as well as 1 hour
before the event as I have specified in my calendar.
