Sorry - should have mentioned this is on my older galaxy Y pro GT-B5510, where don't really use touch screen, aside from eyes-free shell, but, if on home screen I bring up options menu, and choose notifications, nothing shows up in the list there relating to message memory etc.?

This notification has been repeatedly spoken today, although have double
checked multiple times that there are no messages in inbox, cleared chat
history in whatsapp, etc. etc.

Thoughts/suggestions/causes?

TIA
