Yup - heard it had in fact been taken off playstore/iTunes due to prior leakage effect, but, was just wondering if had been reinstated, or something..?

I believe you are talking about bbm?
This is the new blackberry messenger for android.
I'm not sure if it's out yet but a quick google search should get you that.
