Superscript and sub script characters are small characters
typically used in mathematical and scientific formulas. In the
formula for water, H2O the 2 is written as a subscript in ink
print. Superscripts are used in mathematical notation typically
to show a number raised to 10 to the power of such and such. E.
g. x2 superscript 2 is x squared.
