Just so all of you don't waste your time writing detailed answers to my
problem, I got my question answered. Somehow in the Layout tab under views,
items had gotten unchecked. Don't ask me how!!! Anyway, I had looked around the
view menu, but didn't think to check the layout tab. Problems is resolved and
all is well at least for now.
