I didn't want to install the software either. But, Ididn't know if it had an fn key or f lock key key or where to find it. Only way to find out was to install the software.
I'm planning to try it out on another computer without the software to find out how the f lock key works.

Robert Thanks for your overview. While I cannot speak of the MSFT kbs, as I have Logitechs, I have never needed to install any software to get the keyboards to function. Some folks, as a matter of fact, discouraged the installing of the supplied software. The software, of course, may be essential if one wants or needs the special effects such a kb might have. However, I use mine as a substitute for a standard coreded kb wanting only the ability not to be tied to the pc itself. Once again, thanks for the overview and continued happiness with your new kb. Do not withhold good from those to whom it is due, When it is in your power to do it. --Proverbs 3:27 (NASB)
