Your CPU isn't being used if they aren't running. Also all the updates show
in the list but can be hidden. Start uninstalling java updates and web
pages will start giving errors.

I don't know they actually slow down the pc. I just have so many versions
of these programs, I wonder if I need them all.
It isn't room on the hd I'm thinking about but cpu usage.
