You could try to upgrade to Internet Explorer 8, which is the last version that
will work with XP, as I understand it.

I am using Explorer 7 with windows XP on both my laptop and desktop
computers. I have noticed that my download and upload speeds from the net are
very slow. I had A T & T come out here and they did exchange the modem. It
didn't help the speed situation. I know it is my computers, because my son's
laptop is running fine. I have run CCleaner to clean up any registry errors,
etc. What else can I do to speed up my computer? Thank you.
