Office works fine with JFW 10, I use it every day including word, xl and
outlook. Also, remove norton as soon as possible, it's absolutely baggage
software.:) Personally, I like ESET Nod32 (64 bit version). NOD32 doesn't
slow down the machine and is very very good at stopping threats.

Thanks.. Do you know if the package that comes with Windows Vista Home
Premium , the office Home and Student 2007 that they offer as a trial
version works with Jaws 10 version? I don't have to use it, I can probably
just load a version of Microsoft Word since this is only a trial version
anyway.. Also it comes with 60 days of Norton and I use Windows Live 1 Care.
I used to run Norton and several of us qu9it using it as we had corrupted
files from it, so I now use Windows Live 1 Care, so will want to take Norton
off of it.. Thanks, Pat

Hi,
Yes, it is JAWS 10.
As for 640butm I chose 32-bit over it because another screen reader that I
am using does not run under 64-bit. If it did, I would be using 64-bit
now... Cheers, Joseph

Scott, I forgot to tell you, I know about the 64 bit but what is Jaws X. Is
that Jaws 10? That is what I want to keep for now? Thanks, Pat

If you mean windows 7 I'd go with Reg's suggestion and hold out to jfw 11.
If you mean does vista work well with jaws X, it does. You need the 64 bit
version if you use a 64 bit flavor but in general the support is quite good.

Thanks
Scott

Scott, Somone had told me Vista's upgrade wouldn't run well with Jaws 10
version, so was wanting to ask you hwat all you knew or had heard about it,
will take your word for it as the person smetimes gets things mixed up I
think..

You can stay with vista as long as you want the upgrade isn't mandated.
However, you'll probably want to take it. I don't have first hand
experience with windows 7 and JFW but I've heard very good things and I've
heard nothing but good things about win 7 not the least of which is that
it's a lot faster than vista.

Hi all, I just have a question about Vista Home Premium.. If the computer
comes with it and offers a free upgrade to 7 and a person is running Jaws 10
version will Jaws 10 version work with 7? If not, does the person have to
take the upgrade or can they still run Vista Home Premium and not upgrade
it? What I mean is this, does Windows upgrade to 7 automatically or does the
person have to do the upgrade? Can the person still stay with Vista if7
won't work with Jaws version 10, does the person even have to do the
upgrade if they don't want to.. thanksPat
