I did end up reinstalling The Qube and it seems to be behaving itself. Thanks for the suggestion.

Temporarily turn off your firewall? Are you using security software other than the Windows firewall? If you do this and it doesn’t work, or can’t figure out how, then you may want to uninstall, then reinstall the cube.
