Setting Default font for all Documents Such As Font type, style (Bold,
underline), Etc:

SPECIAL NOTE: I found in two cases of setting the default font I had to
make sure "for all new documents" was selected under "Word options." Then
repeated the same steps again and the change held.

So if you check this out before making changes, it will save any need to
check later if the change doesn't hold. So here is what I did first before
changing the default font.

*I. Checking that "for all new documents" is selected under word options.
(This is called backstage in Word 2010.)

1. In Word, press alt plus the letter f.

2. If using Word 2007, press the letter i.

If using word 2010, press the letter t.

The same options open up.

3. Press the letter a for "advance."

4. Press shift plus tab five times. If you reach "general services", tab
once and you will be in the correct box. You should hear or see,
"compatability options for" and it should say "document one" or the name of
the current document you have open.

5. Arrow down until selecting, "for all n ew documents."

6. Tab to okay and press the spacebar.

Now you can continue with setting your default fond attributs.

*II. Setting default font size, type, style and other attributes.

Usually individuals I work with like the font to be "Aerial black", "bold"
and 18 point.

1. Press control plus the letter d.

2. Arrow down to the "font type" to use. If you wish to use Aerial, press
theletters ae quickly. Then arrow down a few more times to locate your
choice.

3. Tab once to "font style." Arrow down to your choice. This is where
bold, underline etc are located.

4. Tab once again to "font size" and type in a number such as 18 or arrow
up./down to your choice.

5. Press alt plus the letter d to set the new changes as default.

You will be asked if you are sure about making the changes. Word asks you
to confirm your intentions, Press the letter y to answer yes to set the
default font.

6. Tab to okay and press enter or the spacebar.

 available.

to make sure "for all new documents" was selected under "Word options."
Then repeated the same steps again and the change held.
