Just the Basics Please

Today's tip will provide you with three great resources for help with basic
computer skills. Hopefully you've developed enough confidence with the
computer that you don't need these sites, but you might know someone else who
does.

Three Websites for really basic computer knowledge:

Really Easy:

1. New User Tutorial

http://tech.tln.lib.mi.us/tutor/welcome.htm

This really easy tutorial is intended for people who have never used a computer
before. It is run by The Library Network in Michigan.

http://tln.lib.mi.us/

It was adapted in part from tutorials at Washoe County Nevada Library System

http://www.washoecounty.us/library/pub_mouse.html

and Central Kansas Library System

http://www.washoecounty.us/library/pub_mouse.html

and Palm Beach County Library System.

2. Beginner Level:

The Association for Educational Communications and Technology created this site
to help teachers learn more about computer technology.

http://www.aect.org/newsite/

A more complex site than the previous two. It is a great resource for adult
professionals with limited computer skills.

3. Basic

Basic Computer Tutorial
This more in depth tutorial is from the Computer Technology Documentation
Project.

http://www.comptechdoc.org/

This one has Lots of information and a large table of contents to explore. A
much more extensive tutorial compared to the others.
