Subject: Accessible World Tek Talk presents Tech Doctors discussing the
iPad, June 28, 2010

News Wire:

Two months ago, Apple introduced its third in a series of innovative
mobile touch screen devices. In terms of price and features, the
"iPad" is positioned between the iPhone and Macintosh making it an
attractive alternative to traditional portable computers. The iPad
ships with Apple's built-in "VoiceOver" screen reader. This means that
the device is fully accessible to people who are blind or visually
impaired.

In a recent episode of their "Tech Doctor" podcast, Jenny Axler and
Robert Carter examine the iPad and iPhone from the perspective of
screen reader users. On Monday, June 28, the Tech Doctors will come to
accessible world's tech talk training room to demonstrate and discuss
the iPad, it's accessibility, its applications, and its usability as a
tool for productivity and entertainment for the blind. The
demonstration of this exciting new product will begin at 8:00 P.M EDT.
After the demo, Robert and Jenny will be available to answer your
questions
