Dear Colleagues,
We are delighted to inform you all that Advisor's Council of the
Government of Bangladesh has decided to ratify the United Nations
Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (CRPD). It means
that the government of Bangladesh now has got the legal bindings to
implement the standards set out in this international human rights law
for the persons with disabilities in Bangladesh. This ratification pays
respect to the rights and dignity of persons with disabilities world
over. Let's all promote human rights for persons with disabilities!
Let's all promote an inclusive, barrier-free and rights-based society
for persons with disabilities! Thumbs down to pity!
