Hi folks, my friend is having trouble with her broadband account. She has a
dial-up and password broadband account and keeps getting the error message "no
dial tone". We have a phone number of 0 in the settings menu. Do any of you
think this is correct or should it be something else. I have tried to
assimilate my friend's account on my Braillenote as I'm at her house in
Warwickshire and only have my Braillenote to use and it requires a phone number
to connect ie should there actually be an 0800 number? If not and 0 is correct
in the settings, then what do you think is the problem relating to and how do
we fix it? Support have visited three times and been unable to fix the problem?
I've not been here unfortunately when the support team came, so I don't know
exactly what they did. Cheryl's on a 12 month contract and therefore is she
liable to compensation as she's been paying x amount for 5 months already ie 20
October 2005.

I look forward to receiving feedback on her behalf.

Cheers, Steve

p.s. already written to various people ie Warks Association for the Blind for
help and RNIB and so far haven't received any responses.
