Hi Chris, alt n did nothing. I was placed in the information bar, and the only things i could access were the do not show this message again check box and an ok button.

                   John.

John, press alt n to activate the information bar. Press space to click on
it. Arrow to the item you want, and press enter. Hope this helps.

Subject: [access-uk] xp information bar

Hi everybody, does anyone know of a way to stop the information bar blocking downloads? I've changed my security settings to allow downloading of active
x controls, but it doesn't seem to make any difference. As far as I know
I've done all the help file told me to do. I'm trying to download and
install flash, as there's a speed test I run that won't run without it.
It says on the information bar window that it may be necessary to click
the gold bar at the top of the browser to allow the download. .
What I've done is this. Internet explorer/tools/internet
options/security/custom and then change the download active x settings to
enable, then click the reset button then ok to get out of internet options.
It hasn't made any difference.
If anyone's got the answer let me know.
                  Thanks,
                   John.
