A few things you could do here: I use one of these: http://www.7dayshop.com/catalog/product_info.php?products_id=1131807dayshop Long Range Wireless N 150Mbps USB 2.0 Adapter - Black £9.99 inc del.Or you could try a pair of these: http://www.7dayshop.com/catalog/product_info.php?products_id=113205 7dayshop 200Mbps HomePlug / Powerline Ethernet Network Adapter £36.69 Or both! I've got 2 BT Homehub 2's; one does the ADSL and gives off a wireless signal. There's an ethernet cable to the homeplug adaptor, and the opposite at the other end of the building. The second home hub isn't connected to ADSL, but is configured as a wireless repeater and also acts as an ethernet LAN hub. That way, we've got full strength wireless at both ends of the building AND a wireless power network for the grand sum of £50! (NOTE: You can pick up BT Homehubs for a pound or two at car boots or about £5 on ebay. Or ask a friend or relative for their old one!) Another note: You'll need to follow quite a technical guide to do that trick with the 2 homehubs, but you can create a powerline network extremely easily. Literally just plug them in!
