Hi Many,

What version of Windows are you running? As I recall, you
need to be running Windowsx XP Service Pack 1 at least.

George.

Subject: [access-uk] windows Defender Installation.

I've just installed IE7 and thought I may as well download
Windows defender but on trying to do so was given the
message to the effect, this download is not supported by
your processor please see vender for details. What does this
mean? Would it be because I am not running a genuine
version of Microsoft Office 2003 which I purchased from
EBay? I've managed to install other downloads but I did
notice that this said it is for genuine Windows products.
Was there an earlier version of Windows defender? I am
using Adaware and also AVG for antivirus protection so do I
need anything else?

Mandy.
