well after update of Microsoft 2004 my scanner wouldn't work with Jaws, also
the sound card on the mother board didn't work properly.
every thing ok on the sound card which jaws is using.
try ed changing drivers  and removing and reinstalled programs without success.
after all that I got the chap who built my computer to come and sort it but
with no joy.
he roll it back to the original version of micro soft and every thing worked ok.
I am using windows10 pro, I didn't know there was a setting for to block
updates.
we are told always to update for security!!
it seems Microsoft win 10 is a bigger threat.
MANY THANKS FOR THOSE WHO OFFERED IDIAS.
Cheers Robin.

this windows update has caused me more problens.
it turned off my microphone.
stopped window-eyes from workin
got these workin.
there probably wil be more.
I feel windows 10  does a bit of spying!!!

Cheers Robin.
