Hi richard and all.

Be careful on the windows 10 front. The precise state of play is as follows:

Windows 10 accessibility is not present in the default browser, the default
email client, the default pdf reader and any "universal apps" - that is, apps
which have been written expressly in such a way as to be accessible across the
multiple versions of windows 10.

It is possible to make internet explorer the default browser, you have to
download adobe's pdf readers to the system, and you have to locate a mail
client that works correctly - this of course includes outlook which is a paid
for app.

Other than that it's ok with improvements on the way; we are currently
negotiating on specific timescales etc and particularly focussed on email and
Edge (the browser).

Steve

Windows 10 is perfectly usable with the latest version of JAWS. The latest
version of JAWS 16 is definitely ready otherwise I wouldn't be able to use
my laptop.

Hi,

It won't matter to your wife, but I love Windows 10. If you have JAWS
though, I wouldn't advise it, I don't think it's ready.

All the best

Hi, My wife is looking to buy a new laptop, and she was wondering if anyone
has moved up to window 10, or recently bought a new computer with window 10.
We were wanting to know how Window 10 is looking like? compared with older
versions.
