Hi Peter and all. I have experienced the same problem with using zoomtext's speech and winamp with the volume. I find turning down the volume not only turns down the speech volume but, it seems to turn down the main volume control of the system. I find that one strange even though, i can go in to control panel and reset the volume back. It is annoying when you want background music and still need the speech for reading.
