Ah, I didn't explain myself terribly well, Barrie. When I opened my computer
this morning, I could only read messages sent in HTML and had to use the
"mouse read" function of my screen-reader in order to read any messages
which had been created in text format - so these weren't text messages, just
messages which had gone out in text format.

My husband used the computer and voila! The problem went away, although he
swore he'd not done anything - but perhaps he just has the magic touch!

You could read text messages?  How did you do that?  I'd love to be able to
do text messaging through Outlook.  I thought you had to sign up to a paid
service to do this.  Sorry, but this is no help for your search for a
solution, Alison, but I'm very curious.

Cheers
