I had N95 Standard and N95 8 GB. Lovely keys on both and identical. I now
have N96, flat keys and OK for me but totally flat and you have to hit the
exact part of the key. e71 has raised keys but it is a qwerty keypad and very
different to the N95s. The keys are distinguishable but they are much smaller.
I would simply suggest you go in to a phone shop and ask to see e71. I know
02 do it. That is what I did and I knew I would cope fine with the keys but
then you need to think about whether you want a qwerty keypad or the numeric
one which is much more compact. Now the qwerty is not very big but is bigger,
wider than the N95 one.

hi Could you tell me if either of these phones have razed keys? I ask
this as I have a problem feeling the keys on phones like the N79 they are just
to flat for me to feel. I am using the N95 just now

Hi Brian. Three still have the E71 on contract and this is by far the
best offering on their contract deals. They have just released the N86 last
week which you can install the KNF reader. The N95 8GB may still be available
but this phone is really been succeeded by the N86 with it's 8mp camera. The
N86 is not fully supported as far as e-mail and text editting goes when using
Talks. There is the NOkia E63 which is a newer model as far as querty keypad
phones are concerned and it is modeled on the E71. The E71 has a better camera
and has built in GPS so there wouldn't be any need for an external receiver but
it's good to have one as the internal GPS can be excelent one day and poor the
next day depending on the weather. The E71 has a steel housing all-round and
has a 2.5 headphone jack and the E63 and the N86 have a 3.5 headphone jack. If
I was upgrading then I would go for the E71 because it's a solid phone and
works well with Talks and is better supported than the N86. The difference in
market value between the E63 and the E71 is around £80 to £100 with the E71
costing the most and may cost you a small fee to get when renewing. your
contract but don't take my word on that as you may well get it for free. The
E63 has a plastic casing and plastic can ware out easily as I did buy this
model and it looked well used within a month and that's why I went out and
bought a E71 instead. You can't beat steel housing on a phone and it's only
10mm thick and the E63 is 13mm thick. Both phones have a very good battery
life.

I am due for an upgrade with three soon. What are the current
accessible models at the moment? I've noticed a lot of people using E71, E63,
N79 N82 and N86. What are the plusses and minuses of peoples experiences with
these. I've heard the calendar on the E71 isn't accessible, or is it partly
inaccessible?
        Brian
