Exactly, the only chance a British maths, science, or computer student had,
and still has, is to learn a complete new set of codes, namely the Bana
ones. Surely lower numbers, a complete new punctuation system and so on is
harder to learn than this?

I am all for UEB especially me beeing a student, and it will help me a lot
with technical specifications such as programming and mathematics in college
and university. For example, it is practically impossible to do maths on a
BrailleNote with british standard mathematics code, but UEB makes this very
possible.
