Well with Braille displays, you dont have to press the next line button, if
you are conversant with AutoScroll. AutoScroll will scroll to the next line
automatically, at a speed to be determined by the reader. So Braille
Displays are not lacking if you have to press the next line button, because
most of them, you dont have to anyway.
All the best

I love this phrase:-
was a real pleasure not to have to constantly press a new line.
Do they not know about auto scroll? <Smile>.

Hi Jeff,
Yes it is currently standalone. (That will change in due course)
It does not have cursor routing keys. (Yet!)
It has been developed primarily as an e-book reader for *brf Files.
(Braille Ready Format) There are literally thousands of brf files/books
available world-wide and on all manner of subjects.
Having 9 lines of 40 cells is a major advantage with specific things like
math, tables and music for example. At £1,895 ex VAT, theres not a lot to
beat that.
Ill be frank and say that its not going to suit all braille readers, but
those who have received one so far, are very pleased. One even said that it
was a real pleasure not to have to constantly press a new line.
That said, the potential to reduce the use of braille paper, is also a
factor. Id also risk saying that we are currently looking at working with
Duxbury as a means of proofing rather than producing hard copy to be read
once and thrown away.

I THINK WHAT I REALLY WANT TO KNOW IS IT STAND ALONE OR WORKS VIA A
COMPUTER?
Also does it have routing keys?
