[access-uk] what is Application Mode in JAWS?

HI. 

I keep accidentally flipping into something called Application Mode in JAWS 
while using my netbook. 

I've no idea what keystrokes I used but I really need to know how to turn 
application mode off. Can someone help? I can't find it on the web or JAWS help 
files. 

I seem to be using some combination of arrow and/or pageup pagedown keys when 
the mode turns itself on and I get the announcement 'application mode on'. 

I've no idea what it is but it seems to take lots of functionality away and 
speak the keys functions occasionnally.
