Hi John, I installed it for a while but didn't like it. I'm used to internet
explorer, besides which, from what I gather Firefox isn't without its problems.
                    John.

Just a thought, have you considered installing Firefox?

I use it for most of my web browsing and find it to be much smoother and mor
efficient than its microsoft equivalent.

Hi everybody, I recently upgraded to IE8, and I've started finding that
websites that were fine with IE6 won't display. I suspect it's not a general
fault, as I haven't seen anything on the list. Two examples are play.com and
argos.co.uk. In the case of play.com the top line of the page loads, and that's
all. The rest of the page is there, and I can read it with the jaws cursor, but
it won't load properly.
In the case of argos.co.uk, as with play.com I get the top line of the
page, but that's all. the progress bar counts up to 38 percent and then stops.
Also, like the other case I can see the rest of the page is there using the
jaws cursor, but it won't load. I've tried compatibility view in both cases but
to no avail. Any ideas what the problem could be? It's very frustrating, but I
don't want to go back to IE6 if I can avoid it, as I was sick of websites
bleating at me to upgrade.
                    Thanks,
                        John.
