BitTorretn should do ya. That's what I use. It involves a bit of jaws
cursoring but it's OK.

The download should speed up as people come online.

BitTorrent is a peer2peer file sharing system but it doesn't download from
just one source. In order to speed up the peer2peer download, your computer
goes off and finds chunks of your desired file on many other computers. It
then downloads these chunks simultaneously so you've got several streams of
data, in effect, landing on your hard disk.

So, the more people who are online, the more sources you're drawing on, the
faster the download.
