David,
Where did you get the hardware, please? I have downloaded Weather Pulse
software from the web but this derives its information via the internet
rather than plugging into a local weather station. I would prefer a stand
alone weather station I can plug into myself if possible.

Cheers,

Hi Tony:

I have the very basic Weatherpuls station which gives readings for
temperature, wind direction/speed, humidity, pressure and rainfall - all in
a variety of units which are chosen from the front-end menu.

The interface is not ideal but is useable with JAWS - only used with 8
upwards by me.

The data can be retrieved into an Excel spreadsheet and manipulated at will.

On the subject of the hardware, the various sensors are interlinked with
clip-in cables such RJ45 in form (but smaller) so it is really necessary to
use some sort of non-conductive silicon sealant or "liquid tape" to protect
against ingresse of rain/pollutants.

I cannot recall the exact price, but something in the order of £100 or so.

Subject: [access-uk] weather stations

Hello,
There is several weather stations on the market that transmit data to a base

station which can be connected to a computer and then data can be read and
stored on the computer, has any one used any of these and how accessable is
the data?
