Hi,

Have you formatted the drive as a primary and made it 'active', i.e.
bootable? Merely formatting the drive as ntfs will not make the drive
bootable.

hi all.

please guide on how to install windows7 on external hard drive?
i have a external hard drive when i boot from the windows 7 dvd or run
setup inside windows the hard drive shows up under sellect a partition
to install windows but as i click on my external drive i get a error
setup couldnot install windows to this partition why does it come the
hard drive is formatted with ntfs and is 250gb
