Virgin Media have 2 services, one for those not in a cable area and works
via the telephone line as does every other provider, or cable services
which
are delivered via fibre optic cable. If you are in a cable area I assume
you
have the choice of either, but if not in a cable area only the telephone
line option would be available. To check to see if you are in a cable area
go to www.virginmedia.com and use their service checker by entering your
postcode.
