Hi mate.
For sure you'll be able to have the keyboard replace assuming the damage has
gond no further.
I'd get a qualified repair agent for your brand of laptop to take a look at
it.
I had a similar issue with my keyboard the other week, all be it not through
spilling anything, and got it replaced very quickly and efficiently.
Good luck!

Subject: [access-uk] very bad mistake with laptop.

Hello all,

Sunday night I had a bit of an accident with my new laptop. I spilled
some coffee over the keyboard! I cleaned it up but as expected the
keyboard on the laptop no longer works!

I can still use the laptop but have to use an external keyboard. I
didn't have any sugar in the coffee just a spot of milk, anyway do folks
think it is curtains for the laptop or is there some hope? I can claim
on my insurance but don't really want to unless I can't fix it can it be
fixed if I put it into a shop? or would it maybe dry out after some
days? I have left it on sitting on the desk with the lid closed and on
it's lid in the hope that it might dry the keys, I have also left the CD
drive open to let any humidity out. but at the moment no joy. the
computer is working fine just not the on-board keyboard!

Oh well I suppose it was my own fault and I might have to get a new
laptop again but it is an expensive mistake, thanks in advance for any
helpful answers given please no remarks saying that was silly I know it
well enough Lol.
