[access-uk] usb wireless adaptor

hi all i have just acquired a wireless usb adaptor for my xp machine so i can
use it on the net.
i installed the drivers then put in the usb adaptor. eventually it says all has
been installed but now when i go to the networks i see the device but it says
windows cannot connect just wonder if anyone has any ideas. i thought it would
be able to search for my router
