[access-uk] usb to wireless addapter

Hey y'all.
I just got a usb to wireless adapter so i could plug my 2 TB external
hard drive into my router and it be wireless so i could access it from
my laptop and braillenote without cables. It is all connected now and
appears to be ready to go but i don't know how to search for it or add
it to the network. The instructions say that it is plug and play.
Can anyone help.
