I think it is still PC Suite but in my case, I use the good old fashoned USB
cable which permits my phone to act as a Removable Drive. This way I can
transfer data, have folders arranged as I wish and their content as I wish all
done from the comfort of my chair and in front of my computer.

Subject: [access-uk] upgrading TALKS and nokia firmware

  Hi knowledgeable listers.

What software do I need to install on my laptop in order that I can add
things to my Nokia N82 mobile phone? I know that previously it was something
called Nokia PC suite, which I had on my old laptop. I gather it might be
something else with the word Ovi in it now? SO, starting from scratch again on
this new laptop, what do I need to download and install today?

Also, how do I know which is the latest version of Talks I am entitled to get
as a free upgrade?

Lastly, I am aware that the firmware on my phone is quite out o of date. Is
it risky putting new firmware on the phone? Is it as simple as installing a new
version of Talks? OR do I need all sorts of other info like serial numbers and
imei numbers and products codes to get it working? I've seen people here saying
they've done it but looking for reassurance that it's easy and worth doing.

hOH and I hope a firmware upgrade wouldn't touch my favourites or my contacts
or uninstall Talks or any other apps?

  Help much appreciated.

  Thanks v much
