[access-uk] updating java help please

Using Windows 7
When the auto update kicks in for Java I keep getting the error message:
"installation files needed".
Have checked on google and the only advice I can see is to uninstall java
and reinstall it again."
Am a little reluctant to do this without advice and so a couple of questions
please.
1. I see I have both Java and Java oracle on my system. Would I uninstall
both?
2. Would I just go to the Java.com site and would that install both of these
programmes automatically when I follow the links?
Any tips would be greatly appreciated.
