The easiest way I've found is to use the iPhone itself, go into settings and
music, and you can delete from there.

That is exactly what I planned on doing but it isn't proving quite as easy as
I'd hoped.
I've connected my iPhone to the computer, selected devices and it brings up the
summary and shows me the music and how much space it is using but, try as I
may, I can't find how to delete the play list on my Iphone. It really isn'#t an
easy application to use.

HI, what you could do is dump the music for the duration of the upgrade, then
redownload it. as you say it's on your computer, this should be quite easy to
do.

Hi Anna
Apparently I am using 15 gb. Of the 16 gb. Available on my iPhone 6.
I have just checked and, as I suspected, my music is the biggest theif of the
available storage, using 1.58 gb, so I think I will start by deleting some of
that as I really don’t need all that on my phone and have it all on my
computer.
Looking at the other apps, like podcasts, facebook etc. they are all measured
in megabites rather than giggabites.
Thanks for the suggestion.
