Hi John,
Not only is it a bar code scanner, but it's a QR code scanner as well. it
works very well.
You can also add a descriptive name to pictures you take with the camera.
You can also accessibly switch from video to image mode. It's great.

for anyone wondering about updates to tollorion
today there is a new feature called camera.
this allows a totally blind person access to the gallery
thereby being able to play videos and also not tried it yet but there
also is a bar code scanner.
it looks as though this method of using the android phone is going to
get better and better for us users.
