Thanks to all who replied to my problem with VRS.
The outcome was that the unit needed a replacement circuit board.
Trust this to be my bad luck.
Still Humanware did the job extremely fast and I should get it back end
of the week.
I hope this one lasts longer than 3 and a half months.
