Ah, I didn't go as far as booking them; I did it for interests's sake as my girlfriend's coming down from Manchester to Birmingham this weekend and she suggested I look at the train times.

Chris

How did you select the preferred train times so as then to go ahead and book
from the table of alternatives?

Yep the more options page works fine here.

I used the more option which enabled me to specify times arriving after a
particular time on the outward journey and before on the return leg. I
found this relatively easy but I could not work out how to select the
preferred times.

Actually it worked out to my advantage because the web quoted price was
£25 but the price at the ticket office was £15. Quite a difference.

Hi Jackie, I think that once you've typed in a station, you get to some
kind of box which enables you to select what you've typed. That seems
relatively OK for me now so far as getting timetables is concerned. The
buying tickets though seems a real nightmare!

Ah! Richard! I've discovered the Trainline website has changed a bit in
some way, least it feels like that to me. I can't speak for the radio
buttons to check for purchasing tickets, but I know that the way you enter
text in the order you enter it is a bit different from the way I used to.
It's a pity as this site is very useful and one I use almost daily.

For example, if you type in your from and to fields, you tab and come up
against problems in the way JAWS announces the remainder of the boxes.
But if you leave the from and to boxes empty until you have chosen your
hours and minutes, then go back to enter your start and destinations, it
seems to work better. I've tried this using JAWS 8, 9 and 10.

Perhaps not much help, but I think they have changed this site in the
last few days as it's definitely different now.

identifying what the radio buttons refer to when you try to buy tickets.
