Hi Steve well I must agree the android and aplle platforms are so much more up to date now and again I must agree our note takers though they do a great job are getting slowly behind. I think the sense though for some one who is blind is a great tool for a computer needs very small all in one but it does make one think what the future will bring.

at least we have a choice.

Hi John,

But supppose you connect said Braille display to that slow old touch screen,
then you have the best of both. Use your mainstream device as the guts with
a Braille display, I've always said it.

All the best

Steve

agree steve as progress is made in main stream the dedicated devices get
left behind every time. the only thing i really love about the sense is the
satnav and the ability to write out a document very small device with good
braille. the internet on the us 2 is very fast but very restricted so wonder
which would be the best way to go. the other plus with a dedicated device is
batry life. but say tellorion got loads more apps if also it could run on
more devices but again you must then use a phone and a braille device but i
do feel the life of a notetaker for the blind is very much in the late
summer so to speak.

i do know now that i am using my iphone and the tellorion lots more than my
pc. this could spark a very big long debate on this topic but yet a very
very important one. again the big advantage with a dedicated braille
notetaker is the writing down in braille is so much faster than on a touch
screen.
