mainly, as I am totally blind, so can't set stuff to record on the box, and can't select stuff to play back, which is why I prefer to use the good old video recorder. Simon, I don't think this is possible. I seem to remember that once it gets to 1am the Sky box will auto shutdown after 30 minutes or so if it doesn't see any interaction from the viewer. Is there any particular reason though why you can't make use of the recording features to capture these programmes? You could then safely transfer to video during the day.
