I get exactly the same thing, but each time I click one turn clockwise to
the dc position, and attach the probes to the battery, I just get the ol
speech.

Hi Terry

Just to confirm starting with the fully anti clockwise off position i get in
order clockwise :- dc volts, ac volts, resistance, capacitance, frequency,
dc milli-amps and off.

Hope this helps

Hi David

If I turn the dial two clicks anti clockwise, e.g. starting from 3 o'clock
on the dial, it says frequency, when I press the right hand side raised
button.

If I turn it one click anti clockwise, it says dc, just as it does if I turn
it one click clockwise, starting from the 9 o'clock position.

On the 10 o'clock dc position, I get the OL, and on the 2 o'clock dc
position, I get a minus milli volt reading.

Hi all
I just got my multi metre out after not using it for ages, and could do with
a reminder of the buttons.
I'm trying to test a car battery, and have the dial turned to dc, about 10
o'clock on the dial. It just keeps saying "ol", when the prongs are attached
to the terminals.
What am I doing wrong? Also, does anyone have the manual for it?
Any help appreciated.
