Hey George, not silly at all. It wouldn't be the first time I got
something wrong.

I anm sure of which is the red and black prong, as they feel different.

Silly question perhaps, but have you swapped terminal round in case it's a
polarity issue?

George.

Subject: [access-uk] to anyone who has the talking multimetre

Hi all

I just got my multi metre out after not using it for ages, and could do with
a reminder of the buttons.

I'm trying to test a car battery, and have the dial turned to dc, about 10
o'clock on the dial. It just keeps saying "ol", when the prongs are attached
to the terminals.

What am I doing wrong? Also, does anyone have the manual for it?

Any help appreciated.

Terry
