My settings stayed also, except the volume. Try turning it right down first and on mine the volume goes back up again. Not a problem was just trying to work out why that other person was having a problem with it fogetting their settings (sorry forgotten who it was).

Just tried unplugging for 10 minutes and replugging and my settings stayed
on the Talker.

How are you turning it off? It goes in to standby itself when you turn your
sky box off. I've worked out that my settings stay unless I unplug the box
in which case it resets, but I can't see why you'd want to unplug it as it
only uses a tiny bit of power when in standby, if any at all.
